The goal of Soramame is to build a large-scale, distributed cosmic-ray observation network using ordinary smartphones. By collecting many observations from different locations and times, the project aims to create a scientifically valuable dataset for studying cosmic-ray candidates and, in the future, possible extensive air shower events.
