Volunteers will have the chance to contribute to one of the longest-running water quality databases in Iowa to monitor trends in the health of Scott County's watersheds. We will train volunteers to use lab equipment to test for pH, nitrogen, chloride, and phosphorus, among other parameters. Then, volunteer groups will test 5-7 sites around Scott County and meet back at the starting location for FREE LUNCH. No prior experience required. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers are encouraged to wear long pants/sleeves, waterproof shoes or rain boots, hats, sunscreen, and bug spray. Masks are highly encouraged.
