Join us for the Statewide Star Party! People of all ages are invited to come look up at the sky and learn about space at Lee County Libraries’ Star Party held in partnership with 4-H!
Participants will have the chance to view stars and planets through our telescope and discover what they can view from home using just their eyes or binoculars. There will also be crafts and hands-on STEAM activities for all ages. Additionally, participants will have the chance to learn about and check out our citizen science kits and use the materials from the Measuring Light in the Night Kit to take a measurement of the sky quality at the library.
This program will be held in-person and on Facebook Live (@LeeCountyLibrariesNC). If you plan to attend in person, consider registering by calling 919-718-4665 for a chance to win a door prize during the party! Presence is required to receive the door prize. Registration is not required.
NCSciFest's annual Statewide Star Party is made possible through the generous support of the NC Space Grant.
