Now is your chance to contribute to one of the largest water quality databases in Iowa to monitor trends in the health of Scott County's watersheds! We will train volunteers to use lab equipment to test for pH, nitrogen, chloride, and phosphorus, among other parameters. Some volunteers will also record insects and other wildlife living in the watersheds! Your important work will help Partners of Scott County Watersheds report impaired waterways to local governments and funding organizations to potentially install water quality improvement projects. Saturday, July 18 8:00AM-12:00PM Davenport Public Works, 1200 E 46th St., Davenport, IA 52807 Volunteers will meet at the public works building, then split off into small groups of 3 or 4 to monitor 5-7 water quality sites in Scott County. They will meet back up at noon at the public works building. FREE lunch and T-shirts for volunteers after sampling!
