SVO night sky interpreters invite you to join in observing on one of only two occasions in 2026 where a lunar eclipse will be visible. The first of these is a total eclipse and will be visible over North America. During a two hour period between 3:30 am and 5:30 am in southern Utah, watch the full moon slowly vanish, only to return again as Earth passes directly between it and the Sun. During totality, the rusty red color of the eclipsing orb will grace the night while our telescopes reveal deep sky objects invisible in the brilliance typical of a full moon!
