First, come learn about what citizen science really is and how you can be involved. On Saturday, April 10 at 10:00 AM join our webinar with Caroline Nickerson from Scistarter.org. Caroline will discuss Citizen Science and how to use the Scistarter.org site to find projects that your whole family can be involved in. Next we’ll hear from Brooke Pederson about all the resources our Island Library has available. Then we’ll dive into a few projects Lummi Island Heritage Trust is promoting for citizen science month, including our ongoing on efforts to combat the marine debris crisis facing our waterways and oceans. This is great primer for Lummi Island Community Association’s Spring Roadside Cleanup happening later in the afternoon on April 10th.
