**Prizes & Refreshments**
Join the Transcription Blitz! Hosted by the UI Museum of Natural History, this drop-in event will offer participants the opportunity to bring a piece of the 19th-century into the 21st-century. Transcribe the notes of early Iowan naturalists for a world-wide digital audience.
Our onsite transcription event will be held Sunday, October 22, from noon - 4:00 p.m. at in room 2523 UCC (2nd floor, Old Capitol Mall.) Parking is available in the adjacent parking ramp. A behind-the-scenes tour of the museum collections will be available afterward.
Transcription Blitz! is held in conjunctions with Worldwide Engagement for Digitizing Biocollections. (WeDigBio) is a 4-day event that engages participants online and onsite in digitizing natural history collections.
