Tremont Institute will host our third annual open house on Friday, May 25 from 9AM until 12PM to kick off our bird banding season. Tremont Institute is in partnership with the Citizen Science Association to host this official event for #CitSciDay2018.
Hands on activities will introduce visitors to the world of citizen science at Tremont Institute and the national park. Projects featured include bird banding, butterfly inventories, phenology monitoring, soil respiration monitoring, terrestrial and aquatic salamander monitoring, and more. In addition to the citizen science opportunities, local partners will host booths to showcase raptor rehabilitation and conservation, water quality monitoring, etc.
