WildTracker is a digital citizen science platform that enables landholders to upload, tag, and share the wildlife images they capture using motion-sensor camera traps. In doing so, participants of WildTracker learn about the species with which they share their backyard, why they’re so special and contribute to important conservation research at the Tasmanian Land Conservancy. Participants who are also members of either the Land for Wildlife or Gardens for Wildlife programs can borrow a camera trap should they not have access to their own, or purchase one with a discount code given upon registration. Data that are uploaded to WildTracker will also be shared with state and national biodiversity databases.
