Be a Citizen Scientist!
NOTE: This is a free, virtual, year-round program. Join whenever you like!
Do you like finding constellations in the night sky? Would you like to contribute to important scientific research? If yes, and you're in Grades 9-12, we invite you to be a Citizen Scientist in the worldwide Globe at Night project. Citizen Scientists are volunteers who engage in projects to increase scientific knowledge. By taking part in Globe at Night, you will help research the effects of light pollution. Participation is free, and easy: each month, you go outside on certain nights to observe constellations in the night sky, then use a free web app on any computer or mobile device to record what you see! Your data gets added to a global map that is available for anyone to search, worldwide, and you can win prizes for participating! Visit https://www.wmtl.org/teen-events for all of the details.
