You can help document the impacts of rising sea levels in your community! Urban Tides is a community based science effort to photo-document current tidal lines, beach erosion, and coastal flooding in Southern California. Winter storms and king tides offer a glimpse of what flooding and erosion due to future sea level rise will look like in our beach communities. Working with scientists, we have established photo-collection protocols to ensure the information is useful.
Your images will make a significant difference as we work together to adapt to rising tides! It is easy to participate in Urban Tides: just join the project, download the mobile app, and upload your photos! You may also upload photos from your computer. We welcome photos from any beach, estuary, cliff or wetland - pick your favorite places and submit images!
