Caecilians like to burrow in wet and shady environment and this type of habitat is generally suitable for agriculture providing food to people. However farming practices that make use of pollutants and fire are not always compatible with caecilians survive. These animals can be used as indicator of friendly farming practices and healthier crop. They can bridge top down and button up environmental education. We encourage people to learn more about caecilians while carrying on their daily activity.
