GOALS: Adaptation AGORA's main ambition, going beyond current approaches, is to promote societal transformational processes in diverse social, economic, and political landscapes through transdisciplinary tools. Adaptation AGORA promotes democracy, climate justice, gender equality, equity, and fosters adaptive capacity and citizens’ empowerment to pro-actively support decision-making processes.
CO-DESIGN & CO-CREATION: Adaptation AGORA engages citizens, civil society organizations, academics, experts, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and other key actors in the co-design and co-creation of innovative, problem-oriented climate adaptation solutions scalable across Europe. Recognizing the diversity of social contexts, the project moves beyond "one-size-fits-all" approaches.
PILOT STUDIES: A network of pilot regions constitutes the co-production arena to collaboratively design, develop, and implement climate adaptation solutions. Adaptation AGORA also develops a roadmap for transformational change and the upscaling of citizen engagement, ensuring the transferability of effective policy instruments and a lasting impact.
