Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. It may take up to two weeks before you hear from us. Please note that because Ambassadors work directly with community organizations and the public, all applicants will be subject to a third-party background screening as part of the application process.
SciStarter Ambassador Code of Conduct
SciStarter Ambassadors volunteer to serve as trusted representatives of SciStarter in their communities and are often the first point of contact for individuals exploring citizen science. With this role comes the responsibility to model professionalism, integrity, and care.

I acknowledge that my participation in the SciStarter Ambassador Program is voluntary and on behalf of local non-profit or other organizations I may opt-in to help. I understand that while engaging in activities related to the program, including during live or in-person events and programs, I am solely responsible and liable for my own actions and safety. I release SciStarter and its affiliates from any liability for injuries or damages that may occur during my participation in the program.
The SciStarter Ambassador program provides free training, resources, and professional development support for individuals who seek to volunteer at their local library or community-based organization. Ambassadors may be SciStarter members or citizen scientists; however, Ambassadors are not "SciStarter volunteers" nor do Ambassadors hold employment status at SciStarter.
