As in past years, CIEDM as a grassroots hold a local event at Arcadia Ecohome to support and take part in the global awareness campaign of the International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) 2025 by taking following actions: 1. Friday May 9 - A cleanup of the Ecohome yards and public streets by the Ecohome focuses on raking & collecting fallen leaves from street trees, parkway plants and front/side-yard plants, as backyard composting materials; 2. Saturday May 10 - An afternoon meetup with a small group of invited guests, including a journalist of Sing Dao Daily, to introduce the ICAW campaign messages & composting benefits, showcase such passive/cool composting practices of yard & kitchen wastes as sheet, pile & in-ground composting through a guided walking tour of around the Ecohome including public parkways & streets and backyard composting sites, and to be interviewed by the news reporter; and 3. May 4-11 - Share online our nature-based solutions at source for zero green waste and spread our ICAW 2025 event with actions via social media to raise public awareness and actions.
