CIEDM holds a grassroots event on 5-7 February 2026 to support and take part in two biodiversity conservation related awareness campaigns, the 2026 California Western Monarch Day and Reverse the Red Day on, respectively, 5 and 7 February. The event actions include a small group, citizen science based bioblitz walk at and around the Arcadia Ecohome Microforest, a Certified Wildlife Habitat, Certified Pollinator Habitat and Certified Monarch Waystation, to watch, record and share online about our walk and spotting in the forest, and a social media campaign to raise awareness of the two regional/global campaigns for monarch and biodiversity and to share what actions we take during the event period. The spotting is to be shared in the SciStarter affiliated citizen science project that we participate.
