CIEDM Cleanups for Solar Appreciation and Resiliency @ Arcadia Ecohome
Friday, March 13 is the Solar Appreciation Day 2026 observed and celebrated by the conservation and solar energy communities at the global scale. In the US, to appreciate and take advantage of solar daylighting, the Daylight Saving Time for 2026 begins at 2:00 am on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when unfortunately a climate incident took place. With the strong San Ana Winds whipping across the San Gabriel Valley in Southern California and bringing in a lot of debris on grounds and public streets at the Arcadia Ecohome and our community, over the last weekend of March 7-8, as part of my support and participation in this special day campaigning for appreciation of solar energy, on this coming Friday I'm going to cleanup the Ecohome premises and surrounding streets. Specifically, I will wash the surfaces of all ground-mounted landscape solar lights and solar powered animal repellers installed by walk paths and vegetable/orchard gardens at the Arcadia Ecohome’s backyards, so as to remove the dusts and debris over the small but critical glazing windows on those outdoor fixtures and maintain their work efficiency of taking up solar energy after the windstorms. In addition, we'll spread online about the awareness campaign and what we do. Happy Solar Appreciation Day 2026!
