We nature lovers and birders at Arcadia Ecohome are taking part in the celebrations of both National Hummingbird Day and CA Biodiversity Day 2025 this weekend by engaging birdwatching, gardening and information sharing as parts of our actions of participating in citizen science projects, We've focused on plants that are attractive to hummingbirds, Luckily, such plants as bird-of-paradises, honeysuckles, and a blue agave are currently blooming in the Ecohome's micro-forest, a Certified Wildlife Habitat and Certified Pollinator Habitat, and on watering those plants and filling the water dishes in the habitat for birds that are negatively impacted by the current heatwave strikes across Southern California.
