We local grassroots at CIEDM support and take part in the regional and global celebrations of 6 environmental campaigns that share the common goal for protecting our planet and communities and also all take place close in time around the first day of Spring, March 20, 2025. They are observed as: #InternationalDayoForests & the first #WorldGlaciersDay on March 21, #WorldWaterDay & #EarthHour on March 22, and #WorldMeteorologicalDay on March 23 and #TsunamiPreparednessWeek on March 22-30. Our event is programmed with several actions, including: 1. Share our event with campaign managers such as IDF@fao.org and TsunamiZone, and announce on campaigning websites and social medias; 2. Hold a cleanup and check & fix at Arcadia Ecohome to reduce stormwater pollution, increase water efficiency & rain/graywater reuse, and the carbon & water sinking/storage capacities at/by the Ecohome's forest biomass and floor; 3. Partnering with a community church host a popular-science based educational workshop and a citizen science based observational tour of the Ecohome to share our SME knowledge and skills of nature-based solutions for climate resiliency with 12 attendants from the church; and 4. Post writeups to share and spread the campaign messages and what we all grassroots can do in our daily living for the planet so as to raise public awareness and participation in those campaigns.
