Citizen Science Adda: Exploring Asteroids is an engaging session dedicated to exploring the fascinating world of asteroids and the role of citizen science in modern astronomical research. The session will introduce participants to the mysteries of asteroids, how they are observed and studied, and how citizen scientists can actively contribute to real scientific research and discoveries.
The session will be conducted by Sanchayan Sarkar, IAAC Ambassador, IASC Regional Training Volunteer (India), and SciStarter Champion, who will share his experiences in asteroid citizen science and astronomical research.
The event will take place on 10 October 2026, Saturday, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. It is organised by Trishul Observatory in collaboration with SA Citizen Science Group, Konnagar Space Lab, and supporting organisations.
Whether you are an astronomy enthusiast, a student, a citizen scientist, or simply curious about the universe, this session will offer an opportunity to learn how people beyond professional observatories can participate in meaningful astronomical research and contribute to our understanding of the Solar System.
