CIEDM held a discovery walk at Arcadia Ecohome, Arcadia, CA, to provide local support and to take part in the global and national celebrations of the 2025 Extreme Heat Awareness Month, Smart Irrigation Month, Plastic Free July, World Listening Day on July 18, National Moth Week on July 19-27, World Nature Conservation Day on July 28, and National Avocado Day on July 31. Twenty event participants include families, friends, neighbors and journalists were taken part in the popular and participatory-science based education walking event to closely observe, listen, and enjoy unique gardens and places in the Ecohome such as Desert Oasis, Oak Tree Courts, and Avocado & Citrus Groves. and plant species such as a Blue Agave, a Dragon Blood Tree, two Coast Live Oaks. The event was well proceed and received by the attendants, and will be shared in news media and social media.
