Have you ever wondered what fish are living below the surface? Would you like to contribute to cutting-edge fisheries research? FAU Harbor Branch Scientists need your help! Join us on Saturday, November 10th from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at Pepper Park Riverside (Wildcat Cove Pier 2; 3375 North SR A1A, Fort Pierce, FL 34949). DNAngler is a new citizen science project at FAU Harbor Branch that allows researchers to inventory and monitor fish in the Indian River Lagoon using angler-collected water samples. Visit our website for more information: www.fau.edu/hboi/community/dnanglerproject.php To participate, citizen scientists must be willing to fish for at least one hour, fill out a data sheet and collect a water sample. While all research materials will be provided, participants must bring their own fishing equipment. Citizen scientists at this event will have the chance to win raffle prizes!
