Meet the scientist behind Dark Energy Explorers, a project searching deep space for galaxies and black holes to help build the largest map of the universe and better understand dark energy. Learn how to identify real galaxies from background "noise" and contribute to the project - you may be the first person ever to see some of the galaxies! Join us Wednesday at the library to learn more.
Open to adults, teens, and older children with adult supervision. Can also be a great activity for homeschoolers or families with older kids!
The library will be setting up the livestream projection and providing Wi-Fi and instruction sheets to create an account with Zooniverse, the web platform for this citizen science project. Bring a laptop or tablet to participate during the livestream!
