Small acts of science lead to big impact!
On April 22nd, from 6-8pm, we invite you to celebrate Earth Day at White Lake Community Library by helping Snapshot Wisconsin monitor wildlife from anywhere in the world! In this hands-on event livestreamed by SciStarter, a citizen science organization, you’ll meet the project scientists, hear about the project, and explore the trail camera photos to help a NASA-supported project track wildlife for conservation. As a participant, you will be looking at images to spot and classify the animals: what kind, how many, whether they are adults or young. Your contributions support research that tracks changes in wildlife distributions and abundances over time—critical data that informs wildlife management and conservation decisions.
All ages welcome! Please bring your own laptop, tablet, or smartphone if you’d like to participate during the event, and learn how to continue your citizen science contributions from home. Register to let us know you'll join in the fun!
