Celebrate Earth Day by becoming a wildlife scientist for the day! Join us for the Earth Day Animal Spot-A-Thon, part of our new Citizen Science programming launching this spring.
Participants will take part in Snapshot Wisconsin, a NASA-supported citizen science project that uses trail cameras to capture wildlife images across Wisconsin. You will explore real trail camera photos and help identify animals and their behaviors. No experience is needed, just curiosity!
Your observations help scientists and land managers monitor biodiversity, track wildlife populations, and better understand Wisconsin’s ecosystems, supporting conservation efforts.
This live, beginner-friendly program is hosted at the Racine Public Library during Citizen Science Month and counts as an official Act of Science toward the 2.50 million Acts of Science goal.
Optional preparation: Create a free SciStarter.org account to continue participating after the event and explore Citizen Science Month prizes and tools.
