Why have invasive golden oyster mushrooms been so successful in North America? I invite you to help me answer this questions by collecting golden oysters growing in nature and sending them to the Pringle Lab at UW-Madison. I will then extract DNA from these samples and conduct a population genomics study comparing wild, invasive golden oysters to their native counterparts in Asia.
