The annual City Nature Challenge (CNC) is a competition that started in between San Francisco and Los Angeles to see who could find and document the most species. Since then, the CNC has grown to be a WORLD WIDE event. The observation portion of the Challenge takes place over the final weekend of April, this year from April 25 to 28. This "ID Party" takes place after the observations have been made. Now it is time to IDENTIFY all of those amazing unique species that were found! Our goal is to ensure we get as many as possible to research grade so they are useful to researchers. Join us online as we work through identifications together! No experience necessary, just curiosity and motivation! The top 3 identifiers who attend will be rewarded! At the close of the event, we will log all our identifications as Acts of Science to help the SciStarter community reach TWO Million Acts of Science before the end of April.
