Meet your local iNaturalist ambassadors, iNat enthusiasts and other like-minded nature fans! Whether you’re an avid user or brand new and want to learn more, join us for a BioBlitz at the EIC! A BioBlitz is a communal effort to record as many species within a designated location and time period as possible. From insects to birds, plants and other animals, as long as they’re wild they count!
All experience levels are welcome. Please come with the Free iNaturalist app downloaded to your device and join the “iNat Together BioBlitz at the EIC University of Michigan Dearborn” Project. We will have an information table set up outside, in the back of the building by the trails. Ambassadors will be available to explain how to use the app for those who need assistance. Group walks will take place from 11am-12pm and 12pm-1pm. Please sign-up so we know how many people to expect for each time slot.
Wild Ones Wayne County will also be hosting their annual Seedling and Plant Swap from 10am - Noon. So, come find your Nature Friends, explore the grounds for science, and take home a few new plants!
iNat Together (September 18–28) is a global campaign encouraging iNaturalist users to connect in person over nature.
