OpenData VizLab is a citizen science initiative launched by Berdyansk State Pedagogical University. Its goal is to engage educators, students, and community members in creating simple and meaningful visualizations using public open data. Participants are invited to choose a dataset from government portals or their own sources, and use tools like Excel, Python, or R to create a chart, diagram, or map. Contributions may include commented code or image-based visualizations. Submissions will become part of an open library to support education, civic engagement, and digital literacy. The best examples will be highlighted in a public vote, and winners will receive certificates and acknowledgements. No programming experience is required. Everyone is welcome to participate and learn how open data can be used to explore real-world questions.
