This workshop, presented by Jo Miller, will cover how to grow your garden sustainably in the Arizona desert. Following the program, attendees will be invited to check out seed packets from Appaloosa's pop-up Seed Library. Jo Miller recently retired as an Environmental Program Manager at the city of Glendale where she managed the City’s award-winning conservation and sustainability programs including the four-acre Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. Prior to working for the City of Glendale, Jo owned and managed a landscape design business for 20 years. She has provided design consultations for the Phoenix Zoo, local businesses, and hundreds of homeowners in the Phoenix metro area. She is the co-author of Earth-Friendly Desert Gardening, winner of a national Communications Award and the Arizona Glyph award for “best gardening book” in Arizona.
