The Great Annual Fish Count (GAFC) is a fun way to learn about local oceans. Every summer, divers and snorkelers across the world join to learn about marine diversity and conduct fish surveys as a part of REEF's ongoing Volunteer Fish Survey Project. Interested in diving in the Florida Keys while learning about what it means to be a citizen scientist? This opportunity could be for you! More information below REEF will be hosting a free Fish ID Class at 10am. There will be a break for lunch (on your own) and then we will reconvene at Amoray Dive Center at 12:30pm. A REEF educator will join the participants on the afternoon boat to provide marine life expertise, survey supplies, and answer questions!
